The business heritage of our recently refurbished two thousand five hundred square foot building, dates back to the fifteen hundreds. The Old High Street of Hemel Hempstead has been a thriving commercial centre since the days of Henry VIII. According to local legend, Henry VIII courted Ann Boleyn in Hemel Hempstead. However, when Henry actually visited John Waterhouse in Hemel Hempstead to present the town charter in 1539, it was for financial purposes. It certainly had nothing to do with Ann Boleyn as she had been beheaded in 1536. With its rich history, the Old Town of Hemel Hempstead evokes the essence of commerce. It is now a place where time has left this corner of Hertfordshire with its many intriguing buildings, alleys and odd corners as a delightful location to visit and conduct business in a well established financial centre.
